Childcare Floater- Deer Lake area Jacksonville, FL Job at Milestone Education
Milestone Education is searching for a nurturing floater teacher to ensure that the basic and educational needs of our students are met. As a floater teacher, you will be required to prepare and deliver classroom activities, communicate with staff and parents, and ensure that the learning environment remains safe at all times. This position will require flexible hours and will allow for travel between locations.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Help plan and deliver lessons designed to facilitate students' social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Encouraging self-expression through understanding, flexibility, and behavioral reinforcement.
- Tending to students' basic needs by feeding and dressing them.
- Ensuring that the classroom remains safe and conducive to learning at all times..
- Basic knowledge of learning songs and activities
- Well organized and clean
- Co-plays/interacts with children during play activities both indoors and on the playground.
- Directly supervises children at all times.
- Communicates frequently with children throughout the day, naming objects, actions, using who, what, when, where. and why, and open ended questions.
Qualifications and Skills
- 45 hours or completion of the 45 hours within 90 days of employment
- Flexibility to travel between locations (Jacksonville/Green Cove Valley)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- CPR/First Aid Certified or within 90 days of employment
- Passionate about working with children
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 70 pounds.
