Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
Teaching and Learning
- Maintain a library culture that encourages appreciation of literature; supporting school reading incentive programs, providing book talks and reading consultations for teachers and students
- Collaborate with classroom teachers in the preparation, presentation, and evaluation of lesson plans that utilize information resources
- Provide instruction for students and staff in the use of print and electronic reference tools and information literacy processes
- Ensure that all literature is leveled and cataloged appropriately
- Promote the integrated use of technology as a learning tool to support learning
- Assist teachers and students in using of Library and media resources and problem solving
- Ability to design and present synchronous and asynchronous lessons as part of the school’s 22-23 distant learning curriculum and program (if required).

- Maintain confidentiality
- A passion for growing independent, confident and intellectually curious children
- Ability to provide services to all children and families with respect and dignity
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully with age appropriate students, staff and multicultural community
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong written and written skills
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite and Google Docs
- A love of children sense of humor
Education and Experience:
- Master in Library Science (MLS) required.
- Experience teaching, modeling, and coaching educational technology for both students and teachers
- Prior experience in the management and administration of a school library preferred
- Spanish or French fluency a plus
