Position Summary
The ideal candidate will work closely with the Director of Supply Chain and the Overseas Production Manager and demonstrate a high level of expertise and knowledge in apparel manufacturing. The individual will be responsible for executing search activities and identifying appropriate vendors and manufactures to support our growing business within the Uniform industry. This position will be based in China and require frequent trips to current and prospective factories in apparel and accessories. Primary responsibilities will include ensuring factory requirements are being met, quality standards during production are adhered to, and fostering vendor relationships. This individual will have proven success with his/her own factory database and can demonstrate the ability to successfully scout, vet, and on-board new Image Solutions partner factories in Asia.
Responsibilities

• Improve Image Solutions’ network of approved factory partners within territory
• Consistently conduct factory evaluations on our top suppliers with recommendations for strategic improvement specific to areas including, but not limited to, social compliance, labor compliance, sourcing and product component compliance.

• Evaluate current vendor portfolio and make recommendations for optimal improvements to the business
• Coordinate with production manager to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms with suppliers
• Provide consistent research of new materials and supplier opportunities to support manufacturing
• Monitor market indexes affecting product costs that will impact market trends and respond accordingly.
• Develop deep, mutually beneficial partnerships with key factories and alternative strategies to pivot production to build resilience in our supply chain
• Develop an audit schedule and ensure timely execution and completion of audits of third-party manufacturers and suppliers according to the supplier qualification procedure
• Assist in ensuring quality of product passes our rigorous requirement testing
• Travel to factories and raw material suppliers

Qualifications*

• Education: 4-year college degree
• 8-10 years of experience of the apparel raw material, apparel production, and global logistics
• Have an existing relationship with manufacturers that can service Image Solutions’ uniform soft lines categories
• Ability to perform in-person factory evaluations, audits, and negotiate vendor agreements
• Must be versatile with MS Excel to assist with data analysis to select appropriate vendor pool
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Strong business acumen, negotiation skills, written and verbal communication skills
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with great attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy
• Good command of spoken and written English
• The ability to travel 40% for the first 3 months and 25% thereafter
