Complete clerical functions in support of claim adjuster activity in claim offices
**This position is 100% in office in Springfield, IL**
Responsibilities
- Pay claim related bills
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail
- Scan documents using scanning equipment and ensure documents are attached to appropriate claim file
- Manage check processing and mailing
- Answers and routes phone calls
- Investigates and corrects inaccurate or in-complete claim information
- Ensure payment, reserves or other data balance between systems and/or processes
- Manages vendor table
- General clerical duties
- Miscellaneous data entry
Requirements
- Executes mailroom functions such as opening, sorting and postage machine operations
- Manages scanning to include scanning new mail, validating and file
corrections
- Update/correct claim/policy file — including sending this information to HO for policy correction and new FNOL
- Manages check out-put including sorts checks and matches corresponding documents for mailing and reviews check validation
- Manages other miscellaneous lists, outputs and other duties as assigned
