Claims Trainer (Troy, MI)
Summary – The Claims Trainer will develop, update, and implement a formal training plan for the Claims department and will train all new Claims staff as well as individuals from internal teams that need training on our claims system.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following
- Train employees and software clients on BeneSys Claims processing systems to include Legacy, Benefit driven, Eldorado and Spyglass
- Assist with questions once the employee completes training
- Ensure all training procedure manuals are up to date
- Complete various reports for tracking issues
- Perform pre-payment audits for all newly hired analysts as well as existing analysts that convert to the new claims system
- Work with Auditors to identify training issues through audits
- When a training class is not in session, the Trainer will help in other areas within the Claims department, such as processing claims, etc.
- Other duties may be assigned
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job
Qualifications - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience – Ten plus years in the claims industry is a must. BeneSys, Eldorado and Spyglass experience preferred.
Language Skills – Have the ability to interpret benefit plans as designed, departmental rules and procedure manuals. Also, ability to speak clearly and effectively, with good written documentation skills.
Mathematical Skills – None
Reasoning Ability - Must be capable of thoroughly analyzing benefit plan documents, Plan rules and analyze a member’s eligibility.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations - None required

Work Schedule
Full time, Monday – Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm. Work from Home (no in-office days).

Pay
The pay range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year. Actual salary is dependent on skills, experience, education, and other business factors.
