Job Description

Distribution Center – Clamp Truck Operator

Marinette Mill

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for loading and unloading product and materials using the clamp truck or fork truck

  • Removing cases from Unitizers, Palletizer, Alvey, Spur Line, Loop and placing them into DC warehouse storage areas

  • Housekeeping and bay integrity

  • Must be able to carry out instructions written, orally, or with diagrammatic forms

  • Ability to handle problems with several variables being involved

  • Must have basic math skills, computer skills, and ability to follow rules.

  • Equipment- Use of Clamp/Fork Truck and Sweeper

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency

  • One year manufacturing/industrial experience or equivalent Military education/ training

  • Must be eighteen years or older

  • Read and write basic English

  • Basic math skills

  • Basic computer knowledge

  • Basic mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to maintain a work schedule of 12 hour rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • Position requires regular physical effort including pushing, pulling, lifting, and bending. Able to stand and walk 90% of the shift. Able to perform moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs)

  • Legal right to work in the United States

Preferred Skills

  • Post-secondary education (two- or four-year degree) preferred

  • Ability to work safely in a multi-functional team environment

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities

  • Problem solving and decision making skills

  • Motivated self-starter

  • Must maintain excellent safety and attendance performance

  • Good communication and listening skills
