The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, able to work independently, yet also be a team player. For this position, the employee will be expected to make routine work decisions independently although work usually follows established methods and work procedures. Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 2pm-10pm

Pay: $19/hr

Job tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Housekeeper 2 responsibilities include Housekeeper 1 duties in addition to ordering/reordering supplies, reporting needed repairs to the lead, and training new or less experienced employees.
• Responsible for washing, waxing, dusting, and polishing floors.
• Responsible for housekeeping equipment including but mot limited to floor scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, carpet extractors, etc.
• Responsible for cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing, and disinfecting bathrooms, breakrooms, and other assigned areas.
• Responsible for moving furniture and equipment including delivering bulk supplies.
• Responsible for setting up and preparing for banquets, special events, and other special functions.
• Responsible for the dust and wet mopping of floors.
• Responsible for the removal of trash and replacement of trash can linings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Four (4) years or previous institutional housekeeping/custodial experience and training.
• Sufficient physical strength to work at custodial tasks, requiring lifting to a maximum of 80lbs.
• Must be able to walk and/or stand for up to 95% of the time.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and to keep simple records and make simple reports.
• Ability to train new, or less experienced, employees in the methods and materials used in cleaning assigned areas.
• Ability to exercise care in the use cleaning materials for different types of building surfaces.

Candidate must have reliable transportation with a valid driver's license, be legally authorized to work in the United States, and be willing to submit to a background check including clearances for Higher Education environment.
