Columbia College Chicago a private urban institution of over 6,000 undergraduate and graduate students, four-year College offering a distinctive curriculum that blends liberal arts, creative and media arts and business is currently searching for a Client Services Level One Representative.
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Client Services/Training Coordinator, the Client Services Level 1 Representative will provide help desk support for the Columbia College Chicago (CCC) community. This position will serve as the primary contact in resolving technical issues and/or gather information required to escalate the request to the appropriate group within the Information Technology department. The Client Services Representative works closely with the IT Infrastructure, Systems Admins, and Enterprise Applications teams to provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff at Columbia. A Flexible Work Arrangement may be available for this position in mutual agreement with the Client Services Training Coordinator.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Respond to high volume of technical and non-technical inquiries in a timely fashion via email, telephone, and in person; escalating requests to the appropriate teams as needed.
- Track incoming requests for support in the college’s ticketing software.
- Communicate technology and configuration needs to requesters in easy-to-understand terms.
- Setup and move IT equipment for Columbia College Chicago’s special events as assigned
- Ensure that all IT management related matters remain confidential.
- Perform other related duties and/responsibilities as assigned or required.

Qualifications
- Associates degree in Computer Science preferred.
- Two or more years of related experience required.
- Working in a higher education environment is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information
- Comfortable with using multiple web browsers and configurations.
- Knowledge in all Microsoft Office Professional Applications, Microsoft Office 365, popular web browsers, and some Google could-based applications.
- Basic Mac and PC hardware experience, printer setups, and network configuration knowledge.
- Knowledge of Bomgar Remote support, Outlook, and basic Active Directory Light knowledge is preferred but not required.
- Excellent organizational, listening, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to display patience when dealing with difficult clients and other stressful situations.
- Ability to handle multiple issues simultaneously while paying attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work with colleagues in a team environment.
- Ability to quickly learn new computer troubleshooting skills and techniques in a fast-paced environment.
