Clinical Assessor - Full-time - Raleigh/Durham

Easterseals UCP, a non-profit service provider in North Carolina & Virginia, seeks a compassionate, caring, and dedicated Clinical Assessor to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary team. This full-time opportunity resides at the Durham Youth Home and the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ), Monday-Friday, 8-5.

What You’ll Do

Complete GAIN assessments on all youth 12 and older referred by the detention center or DJJ within 48 hours of receipt. Collaborate with providers, attend DJJ and detention center staff meetings to provide updates, participate in Alliance meetings for youths in need of mental health services, and link youth to community resources as needed.

What We’re Looking For

To join our team, you must be willing to provide care in various community settings, have a passion for helping others, and be able to link clients to community resources. We also require the following:

  • Full or provisional licensure (LCMHC, LMFT, LCSW)
  • We can also accept LCAS or CCS if accompanied by additional licensureProvisional licensure is acceptable with supervision
  • Must have at least two year’s full-time documented experience with adolescent substance-use treatment; preferably with youth involved in Dept of Juvenile Justice
  • Demonstrated high moral and ethical character and be free of any substantiated charges of abuse or neglect on the NC Healthcare Registry and OIG
  • A valid driver’s license, current auto insurance and a good driving record
  • Bilingual (any language) is a plus!
