Clinical Coord., Medication Assisted Recovery Job at Heritage Behavioral Health Center

This will be a working leadership position that work with our Medication Assisted Recovery Program. The MAR Clinical Coordinator will assist with ongoing monitoring and implementation of medication assisted recovery and will be the primary clinical lead/liaison within the program. This position will work closely with the MAR Nursing Coordinator, Director of Substance Use, Senior Directors, and MAR Providers. The MAR Clinical Coordinator will provide supervisory nursing oversight for care coordinators and clinicians working within the program.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work positively and cohesively as a member of the Medication Assisted Recovery team to effectively and efficiently meet the needs of person served.
  • Communicate effectively and work positively as a liaison to other internal and external providers to optimize care coordination and integration of care.
  • Maintain knowledge of all Federal Guidelines, DEA Guidelines and policies and procedures as it relates to medication assisted recovery and the medications provided by Heritage providers.
  • Communicate effectively to establish supportive therapeutic relationships with clients in order to evaluate, screen, educate and provide therapeutic interventions and care coordination to best meet persons served treatment goals.
  • Skillfully observe, assess and accurately document person served mental status and progress; provide appropriate interventions and communication to other involved team members.
  • Triage and respond in a timely, efficient manner to person served questions, concerns and needs as well as questions and requests from external providers regarding client care and medication treatment to best support person served in using their medications safely and effectively and in attaining their identified goals.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate as an active member of the Medication Assisted Recovery team.
  • Complete routine case reviews on person served clinical record.
  • Provide weekly supervision to all staff within the program.
  • Primary lead on new program referrals, person served orientation, and initial treatment plans.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately, legibly and within established timelines.
  • Perform other duties as required within the scope of the position and the experience, education and ability of the employee.

Education and Experience:

Ideal candidate will have the ability to work with individually yet within a collaborative and team based approach. In addition, candidates will have general knowledge of harm reduction practices. Successfully applicants will possess CADC with a preference of Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field.

Valid driver’s license, reliable means of transportation and proof of current automobile insurance are required.
