POSITION OVERVIEW
Operating under the Administrative Oversight of the Senior Program Director, the Clinical Director is responsible for overseeing mental health and support services, processes, and staff while ensuring services provided are hope centered, developmentally appropriate, and trauma informed. The Clinical Director oversees the implementation and design of evidence-based and best practice standards for quality service delivery and support to clients and agency partners through a variety of service deliveries. This position is responsible for upholding programmatic and staff compliance with agency policy, accrediting bodies, contracts, grants, and state and federal guidelines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Provide leadership and guidance to team members, including setting performance expectations, monitoring progress, and providing regular feedback and coaching.
- Facilitate professional development, training, and skill building activities for assigned staff.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, discuss issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop multiple programs, services, and support plans, policies, and procedures reflective of best practices and multidisciplinary team approaches.
- Demonstrate capacity for providing developmentally sensitive, evidence based, culturally sensitive, hope centered, and trauma informed services.
- Monitor financial and programmatic reports to ensure proper adherence and accountability across multiple programs and services.
- Assist with grant applications and new initiatives.
- Demonstrate expertise for highly differentiated clientele and service delivery, including but not limited to individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, couples/marital therapy, client advocacy, assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention and follow up as needed, education, case management, Employee Assistance Programs, grants, private partnerships, and consultation.
- Ensure that the most effective, evidence based, hope centered, and trauma informed programs, treatment approaches, and service delivery are utilized while exploring new models.
- Uphold multiple program and service compliance with agency policy, accrediting and oversight bodies, contractual obligations, and meet reporting requirements, performance and outcome requirements, funding requirements, licensing, and best practice standards.
- Direct the daily operations of assigned programs and staff; including but not limited to: supervision of staff and interns; oversight of workloads, clientele, and productivity; staff hiring and oversight of onboarding and training processes; documentation reviews and quality improvement issues; facilitate staff meetings and case consultation; coordination of other partnerships, contracts, and services.
- Oversee and implement regular supervision of program staff and interns, including regular review and approval of documentation.
- Responsible for development and implementation of comprehensive training of staff including orienting staff to all documentation requirements. Responsible for ensuring staff meet core competencies in documentation and service delivery.
- Available for crisis consultation and/or routine case consultation while seeking consultation from Senior Program Director or other designated leadership staff as needed.
- Facilitate critical incident reviews and staff debriefings in consultation with the Senior Program Director or other designated leadership staff.
- Accurately complete and oversee program specific record keeping, documentation, and reporting functions while ensuring that documentation is completed in a timely manner as required by program and/or agency policy utilizing the program designated EHR system or other reporting mechanism.
- Meet or exceed established productivity requirements while ensuring assigned staff also meet or exceed established productivity requirements.
- Represent Sunbeam in a professional manner, including community interactions, consultation and education to staff and community partners, and presentations (including media and in person), etc.
- Maintain professional competency in specific discipline through appropriate professional clinical trainings, readings, attendance at workshops, and through consultation with other professionals while complying with all requirements to maintain professional licensure.
- Adhere to the Sunbeam Code of Ethics, HIPAA, and other confidentiality policies/practices while maintaining professional standards at all times.
- Complete continuing education requirements to ensure licensure maintained as required by position.
- Travel locally as required in the performance of responsibilities.
- Perform other appropriate and related responsibilities as assigned by Senior Program Director or Executive Team member.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Minimally Required
Preferred
Education
Masters Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related human services field.
License / Certification
Licensure in the State of Oklahoma in one of the mental health disciplines (LCSW, LMFT, LPC).
Certification or licensure as a supervisor for professional licensing in one or more of the mental health licenses above.
Experience
A minimum of three (3) years clinical experience post-licensure.
A minimum of two (2) years experience providing supervision in a mental health capacity.
A minimum of two (2) years experience in a leadership capacity, including supervising and overseeing multiple services and programs.
Four (4) or more years clinical experience post-licensure.
Three (3) or more years experience providing supervision in a mental health capacity.
Three (3) or more years experience in a leadership capacity, including supervising and overseeing multiple services and programs.
Experience working with foster care services and/or Child Welfare systems.

Process, protect, and exercise discretion in handling confidential information and materials
Intermediate knowledge of computer operations and applications, including Microsoft, and the ability to master other computer technology / software programs as required by payor sources.
Must be able to accurately complete clinical documents and gather data including, but are not limited to, the following: progress notes to record activity from therapy sessions; psychosocial and various other assessments; treatment plans and closing case summaries; staff productivity; program reporting.
Valid Oklahoma drivers license and state required vehicle insurance for any vehicle used in performance of job duties.
Specialized training in working with individuals of all ages.
Bilingual Spanish/English speaking ability to interact with individuals from multilingual homes
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently communicate with staff and others, and must be able to exchange accurate information when doing so. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, attend meetings, etc. Must be able to detect, discern, distinguish, observe, inspect and compare. Occasionally must be able to move needed materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
Work Environment
Provide therapy and supervision in an office or other setting (school-based or community setting, limited home based setting for Sunbeam Foster Families), work in close proximity to client(s), staff, and children. The noise level in the work environment may vary from moderate to loud.
