Clinical Field Specialist - Women's Health (Part-Time CONTRACT) Job at Myriad Genetics Inc.
Myriad Women’s Health (MWH) seeks a temporary Clinical Field Specialist (CFS) to support clinical educational goals for the company’s reproductive and hereditary cancer genetics products. This contract position will work together with the MWH Regional Medical Specialist Manager and Team to support field activity needs for three products, Myriad MyRisk® hereditary cancer panel (including RiskScore@), Myriad Prequel™ NIPS screen and Myriad Foresight® carrier screening panel.
This Clinical Field Specialist will collaborate with the dedicated and passionate Myriad Women’s Heath Medical Affairs Department, working out of a personal home office. This position is temporary (3-6 months) to address tactical needs due to full-time personnel leave schedules. It is almost wholly focused on health care provider meetings to discuss the relevant genetics products and their usage in normal clinical practice. Such meetings may take place virtually or in-person, so significant travel should be expected. For this temporary role, key customers are based in Eastern, Central and Mountain time zones. Approximately 2-3 days (40-60%) per week is expected.
Responsibilities:
- Complete necessary onboarding to quickly learn the three aforementioned products and their comparisons to other similar products in the market.
- Using approved resources, providing effective remote and on-site clinical education and support to Myriad Women’s Health customers. The education and support may include: presenting information on medical society guidelines and genetic testing/screening technology and providing guidance on results interpretation based on medical guidelines.
- Coordinate with Medical Affairs management and pertinent Sales collaborators to ensure clear alignment on optimal field activities, deferring more complex conversations to MWH Regional Medical Specialist Manager and Team, as needed.
- Record all field activity in CRM software.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified Genetic Counselor. Multi-state licensure is preferred but not required for application.
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a medical science liaison, regional medical specialist, or similar position, ideally having worked with products similar to the aforementioned.
- Excellent communication skills, with particular effectiveness in verbal communication, including individual and group presentation settings
- Ability to interact effectively and independently in a team environment, regardless of personnel function or reporting responsibilities
