Core Job Duties-

• Train team members how to strategize and optimize appropriate revenue
• Systematically performs chart audit for both OBRA and PPS assessments; focusing on accuracy of ADL coding, ARD Selection, Therapy Minute Manager, ADL Compliance, RN signature Date, and adherence with transmission and month end close
• Systematically performs chart audits on Short Term and Long-Term residents focusing on accuracy of Quality Measure Coding and identifying potential areas of improvement
• Monitor and analyze supporting POC documentation, Restorative Nursing documentation and nursing and therapy documentation for RUG levels prepared for transmission to the State
• Develops Facility Specific Plans for improvement in areas of CMI, Medicaid Rates, PDPM Rates and Quality Measures
• Recommendation Reports will be sent to the facilities IDT team as chart audits occur and the CRS will provide follow-up to ensure high priority recommendations are followed through
• Provides Cost, CMI and QM impact reports to executive team weekly
• Maintain effective communication with facility staff on-site, via telephone calls and email to monitor and follow up on new admissions, Readmissions, Changes in Condition, Part A and Part B caseload and discharge potential
• Work with region and facility teams to effect and implement system/process change as indicated
• Assist in the development of solutions for improvement
• Attend Regional Team Meetings and other meetings as assigned
• Review billing logs to identify needed areas of improvement for appropriate revenue

Other Duties-

• Remote coverage of facility level openings, vacations, etc.
• Reimbursement System Reviews
• Billing Processes Support
• PASRR Audits
• LTCMI Audits
• Any other duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical Reimbursement

Required Education and Experience-

• Registered Nurse Preferred
• Experience with Point Click Care and SIMPLE LTC is preferred
• Knowledge of MDS, PDPM, RAI Process & Utilization Review Required

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work-

• Although this is generally a Monday through Friday position, there may be scenarios where facility support could be required on the weekends and holidays

Work Environment and Physical Demands-

• This position is predominately remote, and some travel may be required
• This position requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and may require some use of machinery consistent with the job duties

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
