Peraton is currently looking for a Cloud Administrator to support Threat Hunting’s Threat Intelligence Data Strategy and CSD Operational Visibility Strategy. Threat Hunting’s unified data-centric approach to operations will modernize and transform Threat Hunting as part of the Vivid Vision effort. The basic tenants of the strategy include - secure, use, and manage threat intelligence data to improve CISA and stakeholder timely incident reporting and situational awareness.

Location: flexible for remote/telework; preference for someone that can come on-site as needed.

• Manage AWS cloud-based infrastructure, including provisioning of virtual instances, storage solutions, services, and networking components. They ensure that the infrastructure is optimized for the cloud and that it meets the organization’s requirements.
• Monitor the performance of AWS cloud-based infrastructure, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, and making necessary changes to optimize system performance.
• Ensure that AWS cloud-based infrastructure meets security and compliance requirements. Work with IT security and compliance teams to implement security and compliance controls and ensure that they are being followed.
• Collaborate closely with other developers, operations, and security teams to ensure that AWS cloud-based infrastructure meets the customer’s mission requirements and support its goals.
• Develop and implement automation processes to simplify and streamline the management of the customer’s AWS cloud-based infrastructure.

Basic Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a STEM related field required with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience.
• Proficient in virtual computing and AWS cloud technologies, including virtualization, containerization, and orchestration technologies.
• Demonstrated strong analytical skills to identify patterns and insights from AWS cloud-based infrastructure and system performance data.
• Expereince administrating the cloud system through patches, permissions, and service deployments
• Monitoring and analyzing network performance to match on-demand requests.
• Defining and implementing security strategies, policies, and procedure for AWS cloud-based systems.
• Establishing connections to and from various cloud network types, managing firewalls, and setting up VPNs with networks on premises.
• Experience with Dell/HPE Server Configuration including high performance Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI)
• Experience with AWS Secure Edge Computing resources like AWS Snowball family of data transport solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with other members of the IT department to ensure effective use of all services.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • Additionally, selected candidate may be required to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated DHS background investigation (EOD) for continued employment.

• AWS Cloud Certification(s).
• Working knowledge of AWS, VMWare, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Palo Alto Firewall, AppGate Zero Trust Network Access, and other Linux or Windows-based technologies, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormations.
• Scaled Agile Framework experience.
