Clubhouse Generalist
SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of Clubhouse Director, the Clubhouse Generalist will engage members in Clubhouse
activities including: the work day, social activities, employment support, the development and achievement of
members’ goals, linkage and coordination with community resources. Generalists utilize the Clubhouse
Standards as best practice and follow strength-based and person-centered models to facilitate member
engagement and will be responsible for maintaining an environment in which all members are able to be
productive and successful. Clubhouse Generalist helps members meet their needs for employment, housing,
education, friendship, structure, and stability in accordance with the Clubhouse Model of Psychosocial
Rehabilitation and the Standards developed by Clubhouse International. Program participants are member
volunteers involved in doing job tasks necessary to run the Clubhouse Program (administration, cooking,
cleaning, clerical, events, etc.). Clubhouse Generalist work hands-on, side-by-side with members doing the
same tasks. When scheduled, perform early morning opening and member transportation. May work evening,
weekend, and holiday shifts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in a health or human service field. Working knowledge of mental illness, including
relevant employment.
2. Basic knowledge of the Clubhouse Model acquired through MDHHS approved Clubhouse-specific
training.
3. Demonstrated customer service, written and verbal communication skills.
4. Proficiency in MS office software applications, demonstrated competency in general computer usage.
Multimedia skills/experience helpful but not required; (video production, websites, HTML, new
technology, social media, etc.)
5. Appointment is subject to a driver’s license, negative urine drug screen and criminal background
check.
6. Must be at least 18 years of age; possess a valid driver's license; and provide own transportation.
SALARY: Non-Exempt |Non-Union | $31,663.00-42,241.00
WORK HOURS: Full Time| Regular |40 Hours a Week
