Wauseon Machine & Manufacturing, a leader in precision machining, custom robotic automation, and tube end forming equipment, is looking for an experienced CNC Mill Machinist to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have significant experience in the precision machining industry, will strive for excellence in quality and on-time delivery, and demonstrate enthusiasm for teamwork.

Core Responsibilities:

• Complete high-quality work, on time, with minimal scrap & rework.
• Program and machine parts to print.
• Balloon and inspect parts per tolerancing defined on print.
• Fill out required paperwork (inspection sheet, production sheet, etc.).
• Identify questions/concerns/missing information for customer/sales.
• Identify/research/quote needed workholding and tooling necessary for a cost effective, efficient, on time completion of project.
• Plan processing based off lead time of job, material type and availability, tooling, print tolerance (GD&T, surface finish, etc.), and future operations.
• Clean and deburr parts for next operation/shipment.
• Continuously plan ahead, predict timing/duration of operations.
• Run multiple CNC mills simultaneously as needed.
• Clean area and machine tools.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on machine tools/diagnose machine tool issues as needed.
• All other tasks as defined by Department Lead.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum two years of CNC milling experience.
• Experience with set up and programming of CNC Mills.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Strong math abilities.
• Ability to perform quality checks.
• Basic GD&T understanding and experience.
• Knowledge and use of tooling and measuring equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experienced Mastercam user.
• Experience in 4th and 5th axis machining.
