Collection Support Coord - Collection Support Coord Sr Job at American Electric Power
This position will be a remote working opportunity at any of AEP's locations.
Coordinate activities with state/federal funded and local agencies, administer collection policies and procedures for assigned jurisdictions, and coordinate commission complaint responses. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS are listed below:
1.) Functions as a team member at all levels and across departmental/functional lines; practices principles of effective teamwork.
2.) Cultivates relationships; establishes trust; prevents or resolves interpersonal conflict's; demonstrates support and understanding for the value of diversity.
3.) Identifies critical issues; seeks and uses data from a variety of resources; considers alternative courses of action; is open minded.
4.) Establishes and maintains good working relationships with the state funding agencies.
5.) Communicates with customer operations employees on agency programs/requirements and collection procedures.
6.) Oversees collection support activities by providing supervisory support in absence of supervision, as required.
Additional Preferences:
Knowledge of Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia regulatory and jurisdictional guidelines is preferred.
Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the suite of Microsoft Office Products is a plus.

1) Must possess a good working knowledge of the credit policies and regulations in two or more AEP state jurisdictions. 2) Working knowledge of PC applications and the Customer Information System required. 3) This position may require travel throughout the service territory requiring the incumbent to possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.

- Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline, such as, but not limited to a business, technical or educational field.
