Commercial Contracts Analyst- Vendor Management Job at First Command Financial Services, Inc.
How will your role impact First Command?
The Commercial Contracts Analyst – Vendor Management will facilitate the commercial aspects of the Contract and Vendor Management processes for company Business Owners, serving to support Business Owners throughout the entire Vendor relationship and contract lifecycle.
What will you be doing?
- Research and Analysis
- Review existing contracts for completeness of commercial terms, service level agreements, etc.
- Build out and maintain Service Level Agreement Matrix
- Assist in researching and implementation of Contract Lifecycle Management program
- Contracts Management
- RF(x) Process / Pre-Award
- Work with stakeholders to develop overall sourcing plan
- Define Company Requirements, and research vendors
- Lead vendor benchmarking activities
- Lead commercial negotiations with vendor(s) with a TCO mindset.
- Work in concert with internal legal group to ensure negotiated commercial aspects are reflected in the contract(s).
- Post-Award / Vendor Management
- Maintain information pertaining to Contract Lifecycle Management, i.e., renewal timeframes, points of contact.
- Monitor vendor service level performance utilizing internal metrics.
- Work with vendors to remedy downtime according to the Service Level Agreement renumeration.
- Facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews with Vendor and Business Owner
- Scopes of Work Facilitation
- Familiarity with Agile Contracting principles
- Partner with Agile Team members to ensure commercial principles are included in Scopes of Work.
- Participate in Agile team scopes of work closeouts
What skills/qualifications do you need?
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or 8+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
Work Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years Contracts or Business-related experience
Certifications
- Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) (Desired)
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of technology and scopes of work contracting.
- Strong knowledge in drafting requests for information, proposal, and quote.
- Strong knowledge of Agile Contracting Principles
- Strong knowledge of commercial negotiation strategies, and total cost of ownership modeling.
- Strong prioritization abilities.
- Excellent presentation, leadership, and management skills
- Use of independent judgment and creativity applied to the resolution of contract issues
- Excellent internal and external negotiation skills.
