Pay: Starting at $15/hr. Potential to make up to $30/hr.

Job Summary: Diagnoses, repairs and performs preventative maintenance and repair services on Commercial air conditioning equipment and systems. This position is nonexempt and may require overtime depending on business requirements.

Specific Duties/Expectations:

· Diagnose HVAC system performance through observation, testing and setup.

· Disassemble and reassemble commercial equipment to perform trouble shooting and preventative maintenance

· Able to read, understand and quote customer prices out of flat rate book.

· Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges and measuring equipment to perform service of the unit.

· Lift, carry, pull, and push components/equipment to test, setup or maintain HVAC equipment.

· Give and take written and verbal instructions.

· Complete documents to verify work performed.

· Explain service charges and work performed to the customer.

· Advise customer of the advantages of service agreements and promote them when possible

· Maintain required levels of truck stock items.

· Advise Service Manager of Service Dispatcher at such time as the assigned project begins to fall behind average repair times.

· Work with Service Manager, General Manager and Service Dispatcher on ideas for reducing the cost of service.

· Work safely at all times

· Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• Work flexible hours as required.
• Able to work on call nights and weekends when assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent: diploma from a recognized trade or technical school or equivalent comprised of 2-5 years Commercial service experience and training.
• Diagnostic ability as demonstrated through prior experience and or training.
• Ability to tolerate extreme environmental conditions consisting of extreme heat, cold, noise, vibration, fumes, dusts, poor ventilation.
• Ability to exert up to 100 pound of force (pulling, pushing, lifting, carrying, etc,) regularly and up to 50 pounds of force frequently.
• Ability to regularly climb and work from 4’ – 32’ ladders, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, twist, grasp to perform essential job functions.
• Ability to safely operate a company motor vehicle as evidenced by past driving performance record and to adhere to all company safety requirements.
• Dress professional and maintain an appropriate image as outlined in the company policy. Make sure that customers are satisfied with services rendered before leaving site.
• Work to improve technical skills.
• Attendance in accordance with corporate policy

Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
