JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: 435 Communications Technician I
Department: 8420 Security
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old with high school diploma or GED preferred. Must be able to read, write and understand written and verbal communications. Ability to multi-task and possess basic computer skills.
Core Responsibilities:
Ensures processing of all calls in a professional and timely manner, ensuring that transferred calls are directed to requested destination
Dispatches security personnel as requested
Notifies appropriate “on-call” personnel in a timely manner when requested to do so.
Makes necessary documentation for notification of appropriate personnel as specified
Monitors CCTV cameras in an effective manner and distributes information appropriately
Demonstrate compassion and courtesy in all aspects of job
Exhibits courtesy and professionalism when interacting with others (patients, employees, etc..,)
Listens to customer concerns by acknowledging the concern and actively responding
Responds to customer request for assistance with helpfulness by answering or finding answers to their question(s)
Familiarity of policy and procedures for Code Red, Code Black, Infant Code Pink, Code Blue Missing Person(s)
Monitors emergency situations and keeps administrative personnel abreast of the situation
Recognizes and displays appropriate protocol as a result of CCTV system monitoring
Focuses on assigned duties based on station assignment
Overhead paging is clear and discernable
