Position Summary: This position is first and foremost that of a "Market Manager". As such, customer relationship management is a top priority. In addition to Mortgage and consumer lending, the Branch Manager is accountable for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of the branch including the administration and training of branch personnel. This position is exempt and reports to the VP of Retail.

Market Manager
Responsible for growing their market share and identifying business opportunities by being actively involved in their communities with their civic groups and organizations.
- Consistently promotes a positive and professional image to customers and to the community when participating in various community events.
Recommends product and service enhancements to Management by being observant of local market conditions and business opportunities and by making calls.

Relationship Management
Responsible for providing consistent, superior advice and guidance to our customers, which results in stronger customer relationships and bank growth.
- Manages a consumer loan portfolio by handling all phases of lending, including interviewing applicants, completing credit applications, conducting loan closings and disbursing funds as well as the administration including pricing, credit quality, and collection.
- Maintains a low loan delinquency percentage by proactively communicating with our customers and offering financial advice.
Solicits deposits and loan opportunity by making calls and prospecting new and existing loan business.
Cross-sells and refers products by using an effective and consistent relationship approach to assist in meeting the branch goals for loans, deposits, fee income and overall net income of the branch.
Responsible for overseeing the relationship driven culture within their branch.
- Promotes a relationship driven culture by demonstrating and organizing relationship activities in the Branch within general guidelines as established by Corporate Management.

Compliance
Lending - Adheres to all compliance guidelines to ensure we are in compliance with all the bank's standards. Keeps up-to-date with changes and follows new procedures as implemented.
Deposit Ensures all branch operational compliance and audit reports are being conducted in a timely manner.
Individually - Completes all required training through BVS and lending training by due dates.

Personnel & Branch Operations
Assumes the overall leadership role in the branch by effectively delegating responsibility and authority as appropriate.
- Ensures that the branch is properly staffed by reviewing transaction counts and hours worked.
Responsible for having a quality staff by overseeing selection and supporting training efforts. Is also responsible for appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Fosters teamwork within the branch and between the branch and other offices and departments by having an open communication style and a willingness to help others.
Ensures that subordinate employees participate in training that supports diversity.
Responsible for the day-to-day operations and facility management.
- Oversees the daily operations of the branch by having good communication with the Assistant Branch manager and is available for assistance when decisions are needed concerning policy exceptions and special circumstances.
- Oversees branch equipment and facilities and makes certain that maintenance, repairs and updates are made when needed.
May be responsible for the supervision and development of a mortgage lender in their market.
