This is a Contract position. A business License set up will be required, which may cost between $0-$100 based on your preferred business structure. This is not a fee that ACE requires. The fee is for a GA business license with the secretary of state. A.C.E will provide all instruction for set up business structure free of charge as a part of the new hire class. ACE Community Support Services is a state-approved CORE, IFI, and Substance Abuse Service Provider. We are currently looking for dedicated Community Skill Trainers to cover our open counties. The team's members will have a strong ethical background in providing mental health services, great communicator, written skills and knowledge of professional skills based on the client's needs. You are required to attend weekly staff meetings. Skill Trainer services are delivered utilizing person-centered treatment planning on the client and are provided primarily to youth and adults in their living arrangement within the family system.
Mental Health experience required. This is a contract job. Contractors make their own schedules based on the population we serve, most appointments are held between 9:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday through Friday, including flexible times on Sat and Sundays. REQUIREMENTS
Minimal of bachelor’s degree in one of the helping professions such as social work, community counseling, counseling, psychology, or criminology.
- Mental Health experience preferred.
Work experience must include experience following treatment plans for mental health, report writing (e.g., progress notes, monthly and evaluation of progress towards goals and objectives) and use of community resources for individuals who have a mental illness diagnosis.
Must have strong intervention and documentation skills with excellent interpersonal, writing and computer skills.
Training Requirements:
- Successfully Completion of a mandatory 4-day New Hire Orientation via zoom
- Agency Training Requirements via approved Policy and Procedures; and
- Additional training requirements established by the agency and DHBDD requirements
Meetings:
- Weekly office visit (During COVID pandemic all weekly meetings are via Zoom and/or Conference Calls)
Experience:
- Work experience must include experience in creating and following treatment plans and report writing (e.g., B.I.R.P. progress notes, monthly and evaluation of progress towards goals and objectives report, caseload assessments report and assessment), and use of community resources for individuals who have a mental illness diagnosis.
- Must have strong experience in processing successful intervention and documentation skills with excellent interpersonal, writing and computer skills.
- Must be able to build positive e rapport with clients and their family
Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):
- Contractor will provide Community Skills Training and Case Management Services to youths and adults in the community which provides skill development and assists in the utilization of resources for clients/parents receiving services in the complexity of clinics and or settings;
- Able to observes client to detect the indication of abnormal mental behavior and quickly reports information to psychiatrist and APRN to report to Therapist or Nurse
- Assures active recipient participation by providing consistent outreach if the recipient begins to participate less than specified in treatment;
- Assures development of action strategies that are consistent with the treatment plan.
- Manage caseload by scheduling appointment's, evaluating client progress in session and making recommendations to the treatment team;
- Provide Client and Parent Family Interventions;
- Attend weekly contractor meetings
- Attend clinical teams, staff meeting, and staff training activities as required by the program;
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation within 72 hours;
- Assistance in scheduling and the gathering of information for the assessment and reassessment process lead by the Therapist
- Assistance in the development of treatment plans lead by the Therapist
- Ensure that all billable services provide professional intervention with member or client support present;
- Assures that all active members have authorizations prior to providing services;
- Attend all required contractor training's, supervision, weekly contractor staffing, and other mandated agency activities;
- Follow agency guidelines & industry standards in providing clinical services;
- Report all incidents of treatment to Clinical Director including but not limited to member treatment non-compliance, safety, conflict of interest, boundary issues and abuse and neglect;
- Will be required to perform other clinical duties as directed by the Directing staff members
