Salary Range:

$138,249 to $185,254 Annual

DESCRIPTION

To actively support and uphold the City’s stated mission and values. To plan, direct and review the activities and operations of the City's Community Health Services, including Social/Human Services, Housing, and Crisis Services. To coordinate assigned activities with other City departments and outside agencies, including public health organizations; and to provide highly responsible, complex administrative support to City management staff and the City Council.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Work Experience:

Requires eight (8) years of management experience in at least one (1) of the areas listed below, including three (3) years of supervisory responsibility directly related to the core functions of this position. Public Sector experience is preferred.

  • Social Services (human services or public administration)
  • Crisis Service Management
  • Public Health Administration
  • Community Development or subsidized housing programs
  • Mediation, facilitation, human relations, and/or program planning preferably with a public agency.

Years of experience are based upon a full-time work schedule (2,080 hours per year). The sum of an applicant’s full-time and/or part-time qualifying work experience must meet or exceed the stated minimum qualification. Education will not substitute for the required work experience; however, related unpaid and/or volunteer work experience may be used as qualifying work experience.


Education:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business management; public administration; human or social services; public health administration or a degree related to the core functions of this position. Master’s degree is preferred.
