All job responsibilities must be carried out according to Federal/State regulations, in adherence to the Bank Secrecy Act and in Compliance with the BSA/AML program.
The CRA Specialist will work directly with the bank’s CRA Officer administering all aspects of the Community Reinvestment Act Compliance Program. The CRA Specialist will support the CRA Officer in developing and implementing programs to ensure the Bank meets the needs of the community and attains CRA compliance goals. This position will assist in establishing, participating, and maintaining relationships with community-based, charitable, housing, and non-profit organizations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintain relevant CRA reports and files, including data and documentation.
- Prepare and monitor banks statistics to determine adequate loan penetration of low- and moderate-income households and small businesses.
- Work with CRA Officer to develop lending and investment programs that help meet the lending needs of low- and moderate-income households.
- Maintain service memos, volunteer service logs, community partner profiles, and donation / invoice requests per established procedures.
- Maintain CRA/CSR Calendar for all bank-related Community events. Schedule meetings with all community partners to review community impact (at least yearly).
- Assist with community event planning and bank wide community service initiatives with participation in the same. Attend Community Events and understand CRA-CSR related issues occurring in our assessment areas of Miami-Dade and Broward.
- Assist with emerging CRA issues to ensure compliance and directives are maintained.
- Prepare reports and spreadsheets for presentation to the bank’s Board of Directors and Regulatory Compliance/CRA Committee.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- Fluent in English (verbal & written)
- An effective communicator with customers, colleagues, and community partners.
- Excellent verbal, writing, grammatical, and listening skills who is oriented to timely responsiveness.
- Excellent analytical, investigative, and mathematical skills with attention to detail and concern for data accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitask and prioritize while having excellent attention to detail
- Critical thinking and effective problem-solving skills.
- Advanced knowledge of report preparation in Excel
- Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet
- Individual must know how to use time effectively and efficiently to meet required timelines and deadlines.
