Job Summary
The Compliance Specialist ensures the credit union’s compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, as well as laws that govern financial industry business practices. This position will assist in the enterprise-wide compliance assessments, including conducting internal compliance review, reviewing/collaborating with external compliance reviews and across various functional departments to ensure compliance and complete and accurate reporting. This position will be responsible to the Director in the monitoring and compliance with BSA/AML regulation. Secondary responsibilities will include participating in regulatory exams, internal and external audits as well as various branch and negotiable instrument audits.
Requirements:Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s Degree AND two years of experience performing compliance functions in a financial institution.
Strong skills in collaborating with high level positions to facilitate regulatory compliance.
Qualifications Preferred
Previous experience performing compliance functions in a financial institution; BSA/AML certification.
