Maschmeyer Concrete Company of Florida is currently seeking a highly-motivated and dependable Concrete Block Machine Operator for our Concrete Block Plants located in Vero Beach, Florida.

The Machine Operator is responsible for the operation of block machinery to produce concrete block and building materials in a safe and efficient manner to meet customer demand.

Concrete Block Machine Operators Skills & Abilities

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• General mechanical experience (ex. auto, machinery, heavy equip)
• Experience operating plant machinery and performing plant maintenance; preferred
• Experience leading small teams; preferred
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks with little supervision
• Full availability required - 24/7 production facility.

Concrete Block Machine Operators Tasks & Responsibilities

• Ability to operate block machine to produce concrete block and building materials in an efficient and safe manner
• Change molds and monitor material levels to meet inventory needs
• Inspect produced block and building materials for quality standards and inconsistencies
• Make adjustments to maintain product quality when necessary
• Lead team to perform work-stoppage machine repairs with a sense of urgency
• Perform routine machine maintenance in a timely manner
• Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and escalate when required
• Assist team with plant cleanliness
