Construction Cost Estimator

We are a Residential and Commercial glass contractor with projects such as showers, windows, mirrors, glass railings, and glass storefronts. We seek a Cost Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for developing accurate and timely proposals for residential and commercial projects. Experience preferred, but we may be willing to train the right candidate. This is a part-time position that could be full time based on candidate's abilities.

MAIN/ REQUIRED DUTIES:

• Visit client location and gather rough field measurements for projects
• Communicate with clients in professional manner
• Send measurements to suppliers for estimates on glass or hardware
• Compose client proposal for work with estimated material costs from suppliers
• Build relationships with suppliers

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body
• Be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time
• Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks
• Be able to lift 50+ pounds, as needed.

ADDITIONAL CAPABILITIES DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:

• Thoroughly review project plans and specifications so that accurate bidding can be completed
• Complete accurate take-offs for material and equipment
• Monitor changes to projects and communicate changes with management
• Experience with Bluebeam or other construction software

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years construction industry OR
• Relevant work experience
• Computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook
• Able to manage multiple ongoing projects
• Self-directed with a high level of initiative
• Able to successfully work within a team and individually
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to answer questions quickly
• Committed to delivering outstanding customer service and quality of work

Estimator shall:

• Maintain professionalism in appearance and attitude at all times.
• Posses high business ethics such as honesty and reliability.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $34.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

• Bonus pay

• Rohnert Park, CA 94928: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
