Construction Manager

Buchanan Company is seeking an experienced Construction Manager based at our corporate office in Huntington Beach, CA. The Construction Manager oversees 100+ projects as they progress from contract signing to delivery and installation with schedules ranging from 3 to 24 months. The Construction Manager is in communication with customers at the key times in the project schedule, ensuring Buchanan meshes with the overall timeline. The Construction Manager is the point person for the questions and challenges that may occur during a project, and reports to the President.

Our target market is chute & compactor systems in multi-story high-density residential and commercial projects, including new construction, service and repair.

To be successful the Project Manager will have:

• AA or Bachelor’s degree within a relevant field of study, or equivalent training and experience.
• 3-4 years prior industry related experience preferred, not required.
• Effective communicator, verbal and written. Skilled at conveying both concepts and data.
• Goal driven, meeting the customers & company’s requirements through planning and problem solving.
• Knowledgeable in construction practices, including legal and regulatory preferred.
• Working knowledge with various MS Office, Teams, Bluebeam, and business management tools preferred.
• Desire to be part of a team, work effectively with staff and customers of varied roles and backgrounds.
