Job Duties & Responsibilities of Construction Manager:

  • This individual will be responsible for collaboration with a team of landscape architects and coordination with other disciplines from both within and outside of our firm on implementation landscape architecture projects.
  • Project and Construction management includes developing scope of work proposals, negotiating contracts, and attending project meetings during all phases of the project.
  • Client communication regarding schedule, design intent, changes in schedules, and project expectations, etc.
  • Develops Owner contracts and subcontracts with contractors.
  • Prepares comprehensive Project Management Plans and tracks project budgets, contracts, billing, and schedules.
  • Reviews project reports and findings. Makes modifications to project as needed.
  • Create calendar/schedule for subcontractors and installation crews.
  • Order materials needed for jobs and coordinate deliveries of materials.
  • Provides technical guidance, and resolves project problems, challenges, and obstacles.
  • Acts as primary agent between client and design team developing proposals, coordinating events, leading client meetings & internal project meetings, and delivery of final project to client.
  • On occasion may function as a technical lead on projects.
  • Meets profitability goals in support of the company’s business and strategic plan.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with clients, customers, governing officials, contractors, and others.
  • Sets an example of our core values in daily actions and promotes a positive workplace culture.
  • Performs other duties as requested.

Education & Experience Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Landscape Architecture, Construction Science, or related field from an accredited program
  • Experience within a Landscape Architecture or Residential Construction focused practice as a Project Manager is preferred
  • Strong design, technical knowledge, and problem-solving skills necessary
  • Strong teambuilding and collaboration skills
  • Excellent oral, written, and graphical communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage concurrent projects and deadlines
  • Computer software: A working knowledge of CAD, photoshop, spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation skills are necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 per year
