Are you an organized and detail oriented administrative professional? Do you work well coordinating with internal staff to track identified goals and program outcomes? Do you have experience working in a nonprofit, government or academic setting?
A New Leaf is looking for a full-time administrative support staff member to monitor and report on government grant and contract deliverables. This position works with program staff from across the organization. A New Leaf has over 30 different social service programs in the areas of shelter services, domestic violence / sexual violence services, youth services, family services, financial empowerment, and workforce development. Over 100 government contracts and agreements fund program activities that provide services to over 25,000 individuals every year.
The Government Grants & Contracts Admin Support Specialist exists to help provide an accountable link between program activities and the government sources that fund them. This position reports to the Government Grants & Contracts Director and provides administrative support to the Government Grants & Contracts team at A New Leaf.
Location: Mesa, AZ
Remote Work: Available option after completing initial 60 days of employment in-office, then transition to working remote 2 days a week
Salary: $49,000 - $52,000 (depending on years of experience)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferred
- Two (2) years of experience working in contract administration or related nonprofit or government preferred
- Experience with federal, state, and local government grants and contracts
- Experience with financial or data management systems
- Must communicate appropriately and effectively with all programs, staff and public
- Experience with records management and compliance/performance monitoring systems
- Track the complete post-award lifecycle of all government grants, contracts, and other agency agreements by maintaining internal tracking systems and historical records.
- Implement process for contract review and approval by internal and external stakeholders; track the execution, processing, and filing of grant agreements and contracts.
- Track renewal schedule for existing contracts and agreements; notify program and finance staff of upcoming renewal deadlines.
- Maintain electronic contract files on agency’s intranet.
- Maintain report deliverables matrix for all contractually required reports.
- Analyze and assess electronic filing system/structure for contracts and amendments.
- Coordinate completion of non-grant applications and/or renewal applications.
- Distribute annual financial audit reports to funders.
- Coordinate with internal staff for contract compliance monitoring visit preparation and corrective action plan response coordination.
- Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation
- Current Auto Liability Insurance
- Clean 39 Month Motor Vehicle Record
- Must Be At Least 21 Years of Age
