THE OPPORTUNITY
You will work with our talented project execution and construction teams to develop and lead the implementation of sub-contracts processes and procedures.
THE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop and manage subcontractor relationships, including on boarding new subcontractors and managing the prequalification process
- Prepare and evaluate subcontractor and Service Provider RFPs, negotiate with subcontractors and work closely with legal counsel for subcontract execution
- Manage subcontractor progress and performance through project closeout
- Coordinate resource availability and operational needs to ensure achievement of established project goals
- Perform post award activities, track deliverables, payments due, potential and pending change order process as well as providing notices or dispute resolution if required
- Lead execution and maintenance of external labor Master Service Agreements
- Facilitate pre-con meetings on-site with the project teams and awarded subcontractors
- Develop and lead process for subcontractor on-boarding and documentation handover to allow for seamless mobilization on-site.
- Perform post-award subcontract activities, including change management, issuance of notices, and formal closeout of subcontracts after substantial completion of projects.
- Report the subcontract status and schedule with project teams and senior management on a weekly basis.
- Maintain well documented files to accurately present a clear trail with regards to subcontract templates, approvals, and executed contracts
YOUR BACKGROUND
- BA/BS in Business, Engineering, Construction Management or other demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- 8+ years of contracts management ideally with construction agreements, equipment supply agreements, requests for proposals and commercial bids
- Experience with contract management software and web-based document storage and management platforms
- A team player with the ability to proactively identify problems and identify pragmatic/creative solutions.
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively and to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly earn the confidence of external and internal collaborators
