Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Oversee the operations of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll
- Create and maintain a system of accounting policies and procedures
- Provide financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
- Produce the annual budget and forecasts and oversee the production of periodic financial reports
Requirements and preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- 10 or more years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction, real estate, or property management industries
- Strong team leadership experience with the ability to engage your team around a shared vision of excellence
- Strong computer skills, including PC or Mac with experience in MS Office, Google, and web-based software
