Controller/CFO opportunity – Longstanding, Multi-entity Company - SLC, Utah Job at Gava Talent Solutions
Our client is a longstanding, owner operated business that provides equipment and services to clients in Intermountain West. We are currently seeking a Controller to oversee our financial operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for managing our accounting department and ensuring that all financial reporting is accurate and timely.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting processes, including accounts payable and receivable, fixed asset depreciation schedules, and bank reconciliation.
- Responsible for conducting financial analysis and producing reports, including cash flow and ageing reports, to inform strategic decision-making.
- Maintain accurate historical data and ensure that all accounting processes comply with GAAP and local, state, and federal regulations.
- Oversee the accounting of our subsidiary corporations and support department managers by maintaining key reports and metrics.
- Process bonuses and commissions, perform collections on past due accounts, and carry out operational audits.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of financial background and experience, as well as a bachelor's degree in accounting.
- CPA certification or an MBA preferred.
- Possess advanced organizational skills, detail-oriented, and have a can-do attitude and self-motivator.
- Confidentiality and ethics are paramount in this role.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
