TOUR Café Line Cooks are responsible for daily preparation and production of food within PGA TOUR Café. This position reports directly to the TOUR Café's Chef Director. All TOUR Café cooks are in direct communication with PGA TOUR Global Home staff while working assigned Café stations. It is imperative to communicate courteously and accommodate Staff requests, address complaints and concerns promptly and report issues to the Café management team.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Advanced knowledge of food preparation, kitchen maintenance operations and safe food handling procedures as would normally be acquired through at least two years of similar experience or culinary trades training


Essential Functions:
  • Arrive on time with a clean presentable TOUR Café issued uniform
  • Consistently maintain a clean, sanitary and presentable workstation, as all stations are visible to TOUR Staff
  • Maintain a polite and courteous demeanor while working Café stations, engage and respectfully address TOUR Staff ("Good morning" address by name)
  • Knowledge of fundamental principles of cooking vegetables, grains and legumes, meat, fish and poultry, baked goods, etc., utilizing standardized recipes.
  • See that all food preparation is of high quality and appropriately portioned, stocked and rotated
  • Set up and see to it that all Café stations are ready to serve 15 minutes prior to service time for meal periods.
  • Use recipes for standardized menu selections provided by Chef Director
  • Assist in the reception of food product from suppliers, ensuring the highest quality and proper storage
  • Adhere to all Federal and State sanitation regulations, including maintaining an up to date Food Handler's license.
  • Consistently monitor all food stored on stations to ensure highest quality and freshness
  • Rotate, label, date and properly store all food products according to appropriate sanitation standards
  • Follow safety precautions while handling any kitchen equipment
  • Have a general knowledge of operating all kitchen equipment / maintenance and cleaning
  • Thoroughly clean stations at end of and throughout shift (applying a clean as you go mentality)
  • Report any equipment or maintenance issues to management team
  • Inform Chef Director of any issues concerning food quality or production control.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; kneel; use hands to handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance and peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

An essential function of the job is to be able to comply with all applicable federal, state and local safety and health regulations that would apply to this job.
