Come spend the summer with us as our Gardening Teacher!

Elmwood is seeking a cooking specialist, or someone who loves to cook, to run a cooking program with children ages 3 -10. Your role would include creating fun cooking activities with children throughout the summer. The right candidate is patient, creative and kind.

If you are imaginative and enjoy encouraging children to explore and be creative, this is the job for you.

Responsibilities with campers include but are not limited to:

- Teaching to and supervising a group of 12-14 campers ages 6-10 during art activities

- Ensuring camper safety and well-being

- Communicating with assistant, counselors and Division Head

- Being part of the camp community

The Cooking position is a full-time commitment of 8 weeks – Monday through Friday, plus 2-3 days of mandatory staff orientation.

Elmwood is a children’s day camp located in Westchester, NY, in a beautiful wooded residential section of White Plains. As a part of the Elmwood team, staff members are sure to enjoy the challenges, triumphs, responsibilities, rewards and fun that make up each day. We believe that in the process of making Elmwood “a great place to be me” for each camper, our staff members find that they too are in “a great place to be me”. We have a high energy and friendly staff. We offer optional staff rec events in the evenings to allow staff to get to know each other after the camp day.
