Position Summary:

Supports LEAs at a variety of levels from classroom teachers to ESC Specialists in implementing CLI Engage tools and resources. Collaborates with Manager to coordinate diverse projects assigned to Education Advisement team including mentors and research coordinators.

Position Key Accountabilities:

  • Designs presentations and trains teachers nation-wide on the most current research information and classroom instruction techniques.
  • Translates current research into lessons for campus, district, and regional users. Demonstrates model lessons; provides on-going side-by-side coaching for CLI Engage tools and resources
  • Travels to local, state, and national training sites to evaluate classroom instructions.
  • Evaluates current school textbooks and provides feedback on how to differentiate, improve and upgrade instruction techniques.
  • Reviews national reading curriculums for Pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, elementary, and secondary schools.
  • Collects and reviews testing data from sites for research.
  • Writes and directs classroom instructional video.
  • Prepares executive summaries and reports upon completion of on-going classroom sites.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills:

Certified teacher preferred.
Knowledge of current reading research applications, experience with presenting best practices in reading, experience classroom teacher who has supervised and coached teaching.


Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in education preferred.

Minimum Experience:

7-10 years of experience in teaching or curriculum writing with a bachelor’s degree. 5-7 years of experience in teaching or curriculum writing with a master’s degree.

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.

Security Sensitive:

This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215

Residency Requirement:

Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
