Work location: Alameda, CA

Contract Length: 6-month contract with possibilities for extension.

Shift: 8:00AM - 5:00PM

40 hours a week

Salary. $39 hourly

Description:

We are seeking a Calibration Coordinator II to be responsible for providing coordinator support for the Calibration Group including data entry, notifies equipment custodians when calibration is due/overdue. This position also Interacts with calibration customers within SJM to schedule calibration priorities by requests and tracks out of tolerance assessments.

Responsibilities:


  • Individuals coordinate the movement/shipment of equipment within SJM calibration facilities, coordinates outside calibration services, and repair.
  • Data input into various business systems
  • Assign equipment asset numbers for new equipment Label new equipment with identification numbers Manage the out of service equipment shelf
  • Creates Metrics Spreadsheets and provides monthly and quarterly metrics roll up reporting.
  • Coordinate calendars, calibration scheduling with all production, R&D and Lab groups and meetings
  • Prepare, process internal organizational forms such as purchase orders, calibration request forms, etc.
  • Generate calibration work orders
  • Scans and attaches external calibration certificates to work orders as needed Identifies improvements in calibration database efficiency and reporting
  • Generate and distribute Overdue reports Perform Out of Tolerance tracking
  • Coordinate shipment and return of equipment for contracted calibrations
  • Track calibration supplier error and issues for supplier files
  • Track calibration certificate errors, NCMRs written, and equipment sent out for calibration Manages the equipment IN/OUT shelves Receive, verify and log in calibration equipment upon receipt
  • Complete Calibration work orders for overdue and out of tolerance assessments, submit for closing
  • Track calibration work order errors, NCMRs written, and equipment sent out for calibration
  • Works on ad hoc projects as needed
  • Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
  • Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of Quality Control experience
  • Some Knowledge of basic inspection tools and lab equipment
  • Some Working knowledge applicable regulations and standards such as FDA, QSR and ISO regulations
  • Substantial analytical skills, problem solving techniques and statistical application experience
