Griffith Foods is a global manufacturer of food products. We provide a wide range of taste and texture components for food industry customers throughout the world. Our products include seasoning blends, dry mixes, coating systems, dough blends, crumbs, flavors, sauces and food bases that are used in an extensive variety of application from snack foods and processed meat and poultry to ready meals. Location: Hybrid (Alsip & Home)
Summary: The position is part of the Corporate Accounting team. Responsibilities will include a wide variety of domestic and international accounting activities such as account reconciliations, royalty calculations, use of foreign currency translation, journal entries, reporting analytics, invoice processing and foreign unit chargebacks.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Daily cash reconciliation
  • Coding invoices/submission for payment
  • Prepare journal entries for month end close for corporate companies (GFGI, GFII and GFWI)
  • Prepare account reconciliations for corporate companies (GFGI, GFII and GFWI)
  • Prepare foreign chargebacks
  • Record foreign charges
  • Review travel and expense/open AMEX charges
  • Prepare agings for GFII and GFWI
  • Assist with budget preparation for GFGI, GFII and GFWI
  • Capex reconciliations and maintenance of project subledger in Dynamics
  • Monthly purchasing card (p-card) audit
  • Review global account submissions, follow up with units as needed
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a four year college or university with a minimum of 2 years related experience, manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and BPC software a plus.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Strong planning and organization skills.
  • Ability to multi-task paired with superior time management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
