Counselor Job at Young Scholars Academy
Young Scholars Academy is looking for a college counselor to help guide students in the right path, whether it be to the college of their dreams, or helping them decide what they should do with their future as young adults.
About our company: Young Scholars Institute offers individualized tutoring and college counseling for K-12th grade students. We provide one-on-one and small group tutoring in all subjects, including AP and Honors courses. We create customized tutoring plans for each student based on his or her unique learning profile. Our goal is to help our students reach their full academic potential!

Responsibilities:
Guide students through their academic and extracurricular work and ultimately, the college admissions process.
Offer advice regarding choice of career/major, coursework, college selection, and all related areas that compose a successful high school career.
Help students navigate and fill out the UC, CSU and Common Application
Help students brainstorm ideas and edit college admissions essays
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from a top 50 ranked National University
- Have at least one year of experience in academic counseling
- Speak English natively or be an excellent English speaker that is fluent in Mandarin
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- Experience as a college counselor is preferred.
- Solid follow-through skills and detail-oriented.
- With experience and from Top 30-50 university
- Enthusiasm!
Work Hours: * Monday to Friday 2:00pm - 9:00pm
- Saturday 9:00am - 6:30pm
