COVID-19 Congregate and Community Site Registration Clerk Job at SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA AHEC
Positions are available in Allen, Beauregard, Cameron, Calcasieu, and Jefferson Davis parishes to conduct community street outreach/community canvassing for COVID-19 education and/or patient registration and intake services at congregate and community testing sites as well as vaccination sites. Applicants would travel to designated testing or vaccination sites for the listed job duties.

Responsibilities
- Collect patient and insurance information for COVID-19 testing or COVID-19 vaccination sites.
- Will be required to document any insurance coverage that the patient may have
- Ensure collected patient information is organized and prepared for pick-up by lab testing personnel and is assigned to the appropriate test samples.
- Complete all necessary paperwork required for vaccination, and outreach protocols for the 2nd dose reminders.
- Record every vaccination provided in LINKS.
- Conduct community street outreach/community canvassing for COVID-19 education.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Two years of secretarial experience, college, or technical school.
- Ability to communicate well with patients, their family and peers, and medical personnel.
- Ability to deal tactfully with all types of telephone calls and visitors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- General office, computer and clerical skills.
- Ability to use advanced computer programs
- Work time will be exclusively community based.
- Frequent local travel to and from pre-designated testing sites.
- Reliable transportation to and from testing sites is required.
- Schedule is subject to applicant’s availability.
- Part time
- $20.00 per hour
