About the job:

As the Senior Strategy & Analysis Lead, Cox2M , you will think about the big picture and then help translate that to actionable recommendations. You will engage on a diverse set of topics providing the strategic fact base and insight required for the effective building and steering of the Cox2M business. You will work closely with the business leadership team of each of our verticals and in the Cox2M Growth Management office, which oversees and supports the execution of all Cox2M workstreams and business lines. You will assist with shaping the Cox2M strategic roadmap, improving business processes, and ensuring the Cox2M business hits growth milestones.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions


  • Support the creation of Cox2M strategic roadmap and help shape the direction of the entire Cox2M venture. Research trends, emerging technologies, competitors, and potential business partners in order to understand the implications of these market dynamics and recommend a course of action
  • Collaborate with the leadership in Cox2M's business lines to help define and shape their strategic roadmaps. Help make the vision concrete and actionable, identifying prioritized initiatives that will drive toward the vision
  • Partner with others in Cox2M (e.g., market intelligence) and manage the contributions of multiple stakeholders to ensure cohesive, comprehensive, and timely completion of projects
  • Collaborate with Finance / Biz Ops to create financial models and business cases to support strategic recommendations. At times, lead this modeling without the support of Finance / Biz Ops
  • Lead analyses and develop meaningful recommendations on new business opportunities, strategic positioning, or progress of existing products and services
  • Develop and maintain detailed analytical models to support financial, technical, and operational decisions regarding day-to-day operations and near-, mid-, and long-term initiatives
  • Create analyses, fact base, white papers, and presentations that increase the Cox2M business exposure with both internal and external contributors and decision makers
  • Support from time to time the operations, product, and sales teams by creating frameworks and processes to help them answer key questions or improve efficiency / effectiveness
  • Partner with business owners and high-level stakeholders within Cox2M, and regularly interact with senior stakeholders beyond Cox2M as well


Qualifications

Minimum


  • BS/BA in a related discipline (e.g., Strategy, Business, Finance, Marketing, etc.) plus 6+ years of experience analyzing and trying to solve complex business problems; or 4+ years with an advanced degree; 10+ years of experience in lieu of a formal degree
  • Proven track record of analyzing complex or nebulous situations, then delivering actionable recommendations - and potentially supporting them on a longer-term basis
  • Demonstrated success working on multiple workstreams and topics at the same time and pushing to get things done, at times with limited information
  • Comfort reaching out and securing engagement of multiple team members and senior leaders for information, brainstorming, or guidance
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and collaborative skills and commitment to develop further skills and work effectively with teams throughout organization
  • Natural curiosity and tendency to question the status quo, combined with proven solid analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrated rigor. Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, and appetite to learn and implement new tools


Preferred


  • Prior experience working at an early stage or growth stage startup
  • Prior experience working in a large corporate environment
  • Prior experience working for a top tier management consulting firm, investment bank, or equity research firm
  • Financial modeling experience
