POSITION SUMMARY: CREDENTIALING SPECIALIST
AMS is currently seeking an experienced Credentialing Specialist to join the team in our Chappaqua, NY office. This professional will report directly to the Credentialing Manager. The Credentialing Specialist’s primary responsibility is to ensure that accurate data needed for physician onboarding and payor enrollment credentialing is obtained, processed, maintained and current for all assigned providers. This individual performs general tasks, clerical duties and special projects as assigned, in a timely and efficient manner to achieve departmental goals.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday
Location: Hybrid, 2 days onsite
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures that applications are properly verified and accurately uploaded into an online credentialing database
- Works jointly with Northwell Provider Enrollment Department
- Ensures the timely and accurate submission of credentialing information to assigned payers to establish and maintain participation
- Works weekly delinquency reports for missing or expiring credentials, including reappointments
- Works closely with providers and practice managers to obtain necessary credentialing documentation
- Communicates with revenue cycle management staff regarding status of providers as well as participation with assigned payers
- Maintains a high standard of professional conduct at all times
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 2 years Credentialing experience preferred
- Must be COVID 19 vaccinated

- Computer proficiency, including MS Office, and ability to work with multiple databases

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
