Creole Speaking Staffing Coordinator for Small Home Care Agency Job at AIDECAST

Small, yet very busy, Licensed Home Health Care Agency based in Spring Valley, NY is looking to hire a bright, proactive, and self-motivated individual to fill the role of Full-Time Staffing Coordinator immediately. Previous experience as Staffing Coordination within a Home Care office setting is required for this challenging role.

Currently, we are looking for a bilingual Staffing Coordinator (English/ Haitian Creole) to join our wonderful team. Must have excellent customer service skills and ability to identify problems and effectively provide solutions as they arise.

Training will be provided! However, experience is required. We will also consider candidates with experience staffing assignments in other industries if the role required making and answering lots of calls, ensuring client satisfaction, and finding available resources to staff assignments last minute. Must have leadership/ supervisory skills to lead our Home Health Aides.

Here's what you will do if hired:

  • Successfully manage a caseload
  • Maintain cases staffed and stabilized with HHA's at all times
  • Establish strong business and supervisory relationships with our Home Health Aides to identify aides available to work and cover shifts for you as needed
  • Confirm attendance for all active visits where aides are assigned for the day to ensure aides are arriving on time to their assignments and punching in/ out for their shifts (Must be effective at verifying attendance on a daily hour)
  • Identify aides on assignments that fail to punch in/out for their shifts; investigate reasons why aides failed to punch in/out; guide and encourage all aides to punch in/out for their shifts
  • Create and update service schedules for all clients under your caseload to maintain an accurate calendar reflecting which aides are on assignments
  • Maintain availability on HHA calendars to identify which aides are available to work for future assignments
  • Work closely with the office nurse; reporting all incidents and falls
  • Documenting all changes in services and conditions to patient profiles
  • Communicating to Managed Long Term Care providers any changes in patient conditions or services
  • Faxing communications as needed
  • Assisting Home Health Aides with inquiries or concerns in the office or via phone as needed
  • Assisting patients and their families with inquiries or concerns via phone as needed
  • Reviewing all HHA attendance punches for accuracy on a daily and weekly basis; correcting/ updating punches as needed.

The Must Have's:

  • Great communication skills
  • Great computer skills for data entry, updating client records, scheduling
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Proven ability to successfully schedule field employees with or without advance notice
  • Proven ability to consistently provide outstanding customer service
  • Must be a team player!
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday starting at 9:00AM sharp in Spring Valley
  • Proven understanding of medical terminology and home health care services
  • Prior experience using HHA Exchange is a major plus!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
