New features and technologies are introduced into Philips products by first completing a clinical and business value assessment to properly prioritize and scope activities. This is then the framework for proving concepts to retire risks, while considering the impact and interface to receiving platforms.
This role strengthens a connection between Philips and a key collaboration partner in the domain of Interventional CT and Multi-Modality Interventional Suite.

You are responsible for
- Working collaboratively with leading clinical experts on image-guided interventions on a worldwide key opinion leader hospital.
- Designing and developing new technology solutions to improve interventional clinical workflow and outcomes.
- Serving as a key liaison between Philips and clinical partners.
- Identifying and connecting new customer needs, solutions and technologies to initiate new methods (or disruptive enabling technologies) of diagnosis, treatment and/or care within domain.
- Initiating and driving co‐creation and discovery in line with overall strategy and roadmap, including:
- Co‐creation and early ideation
- Shaping funnel of ideas and research projects with clinical and research partners
- Clinical research collaboration
- Creating and evaluating clinical prototypes
- Contributing to shaping of overall innovation roadmaps via insights
- Creating value and impact by delivering meaningful innovations, IP and transfers to the business that contribute to Philips growth.
- Providing thought leadership in alignment with overall strategy, including supporting marketing strategies with key insights/trends, supporting market shaping and conditioning through publications, identifying and developing next generation Key Opinion Leadership by working with new partners.
- Drive the execution of evidence creation in coordination with Clinical Affairs, including strategizing, identifying, setting up and executing clinical collaborations and studies
- Provide key insights on the way of working and decision process of the clinical customer, specifically regarding the incorporation of new methods and technological innovations and solutions
- Contributing to the shaping of overall innovation roadmaps/strategies via insights, identifying new developments and technology in academia and/or SMEs

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following
- Master’s degree in Bio-Medical engineering / Life Science / Physics (required), with a preference for a Ph.D.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Medical devices industry, preferably Imaging Systems or Diagnostic Oncology or PhD with relevant industry, academic, or internship experience
- Excellent understanding of CT and spectral CT technologies
- Experience with clinical workflow in image guided interventional procedure
- Experience in establishing clinical or academic network
- Proven skills in leading multi-disciplinary advanced development projects and experience in the medical domain
- Strong communication skills—both verbal & written
- Excellent presentation skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work in a global team with various disciplines
- Awareness of business interests and effects
- Up to 25% travel, mostly in North America
