Reporting to Restaurant Technologies’ Chief People Officer, the Culture, Diversity, and Inclusion Partner will champion, foster and lead the organization in all efforts related to Culture, Diversity, and Inclusion. This role will partner with members of leadership, our team members and the executive team to create guiding principles, standards, programs, training and support systems to encourage a culture and environment where all employees are able to reach their highest potential, feel that RT is the place they should be, and know they are supported to grow, develop and be involved.

Working Location & Travel
This position can be remote outside of Minnesota but will require regular travel to our corporate HQ in Minneapolis and other locations (at least 30-40%). We offer flexibility in when and where you work - you manage your time, be present when it matters. If local to Minneapolis, expected travel to other locations is up to 20-30%.

Primary Job Accountabilities
The Culture, Diversity, and Inclusion Partner acts as a visionary and strategist developing and implementing a comprehensive DE&I strategy, programs, and initiatives for RT. This role acts as the internal DE&I expert and provides thought leadership by taking a balanced consultative and systemic approach to enable the organization to optimize our efforts to diversity, improve inclusion and ensure equity across our organization.

  • Provides thought leadership and collaborates across the company by creating solutions to promote a diverse and inclusive environment
  • Acts as the DE&I champion internally and externally
  • Serve as the DE&I subject matter expert, consulting with executive leadership and the HR function to understand and identify areas of opportunity to deliver on our strategies
  • Builds trusting relationships with the executive team and influences all managers to create awareness, support, and advocacy for DE&I efforts to attract, develop, and retain talent
  • Collaborates with executive and various RT teams to review progress, course corrections, and shared accountability
  • Advises, manages, and tracks vital company DE&I metrics to measure program effectiveness against established goals, including goals identified through our over-arching ESG initiative
  • Partner with HR colleagues to provide insight into focus programs in hiring, retention, rewards, development, and engagement to support our DE&I vision
  • Identifies opportunities to promote DE&I in our professional communities and build upon RT’s reputation
  • Participates in conferences and events to network, benchmark, and enhance the RT brand
  • In partnership with our Learning and Development team, develop, implement, and deliver learning and awareness programs to foster a more inclusive culture
  • Lead our internal DE&I teams, supporting the growth and development of various programs developed within.
  • Partner with our marketing communications team to ensure connected and engaging DE&I messaging internally and externally
  • Leverage data, external benchmarks, best practices, and insights to influence and facilitate organizational change to foster DE&I
  • Regularly measure and analyze, report and present data, highlighting areas of strength and weakness, providing consultative support
  • Provide coaching to leaders and managers to enhance their capability to be inclusive leaders and allies
  • Ensure compliance with government diversity/equity regulations and reporting requirements

Qualifications

  • The ability to work seamlessly in a decentralized organizational model is key, including being comfortable with ambiguity and designing new programs and governance structures where none existed before
  • Cultural awareness, emotional intelligence, sensitivity, and flexibility, with a knowledge of principles, methods, and tools of DE&I
  • Good writer and public speaker
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate metrics, research, and trends into strategy and improvement opportunities
  • Strong change management and project management skills, with demonstrated ability to operationalize and scale programs focused on DE&I
  • Attention to detail and a highly organized, process-focused aptitude are required to manage the variety of responsibilities and deliverables
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to incorporate diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging into company or business goals and objectives
  • Ability to motivate, influence and optimize working relationships with senior leadership and other internal and external stakeholders; ability to challenge conventional wisdom
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator, with the ability to build trusting relationships, manage stakeholder expectations and influence colleagues across all levels of the company
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience working specifically in DE&I work, leading and management DE&I programs and initiatives
  • % of Time Traveling: 20 – 40%
