The Role:
As a Category Launch Specialist – Winter Sports Apparel, you will focus on building out the expert side of our Winter Sports Apparel segment – interacting with customers; engaging with prospective experts; helping us define our systems and practices; and sometimes, selling! And you will be part of a supportive community of people who share your obsession for the invigorating world of apparel related to skiing and / or snowboarding.
Key Duties:
- Supporting content creations needs, such as writing articles, compiling top most recommended product lists, generating Q&A content, etc.
- Developing standardized questions we can ask customers to understand their apparel needs when it comes to skiing and snowboarding.
- Providing input on which features are the most important to consumers when purchasing apparel related to skiing and snowboarding
- Validating our approach to marketing (keywords, landing pages, images, etc.)
- Vetting other prospective experts for technical knowledge and fit with Curated.
- Interacting with customers as a future Expert would do so – and building customer enthusiasm for our marketplace and brand.
What you will bring:
- Experience recommending apparel related to snow sports to customers and can speak to the technical differences between different products, address customer concerns on style, fit and price.
- Excellent written communication skills, and the ability to connect with customers while off-shift (via cell phone or computer)
- Strong organizational skills and are self-motivated to thrive in a remote position
- Previous sales or customer service experience
- Consistent access to a computer and reliable internet connection
- A product mindset – willing to confront a new market opportunity, and think with us on how to best serve that market
- Nice to have: experience in a ski shop related to apparel, has held previous sales positions related to clothing, experience as a personal stylist
Other details:
- We are initially conceiving of this as a temporary 3-month role, as we build out the category – with longer mandates a possibility
- Upon category launch, you will have a guaranteed minimum salary, plus the opportunity to earn some commissions and tips on certain sales transactions.
Expert positions are 100% remote. You can work from anywhere with a computer and reliable Wi-Fi.
