Custodian - 1st-Shift
Reports to
Director of Housekeeping
Job Purpose
To clean all public areas to the expectation of 4 diamond status.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean public area restrooms, sitting areas, guest laundries and hallways
- Mop tile floors and vacuum carpeting
- Seasonal duties including; washing exterior windows, wiping patio tables and cleaning the beach bathrooms two times a day
- Deep clean during the off season
- Answer radio calls and meet guests needs until Supervisors report for the day
- All other duties as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or Custodian Supervisor
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- High School Diploma preferred
- Strong guest service skills
- Must be able to work independently and be courteous to guests in the halls and elevators
- Must possess a positive attitude as a contributor to a diverse work environment
- Must have flexibility in time to meet the business needs of the department and Organization
- Ability to learn quickly and accurately
Working Conditions
Working conditions vary based on business needs. Work may entail both indoor and outdoor activities, nights, weekends, and holidays, as necessary. A jacket may be required in cases of inclement weather. Environment can be fast paced, and the associate will need to be able to manage multiple tasks.
Certificates, Licenses and or Registrations
Current Driver’s License preferred but not required for reliable attendance

Language Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with guests.

Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
