Custodian II (re-advertisement) Job at Fairfax County Public Schools
Performs and may oversee cleaning, set-up, maintenance, and security of classrooms, offices, restrooms, halls, stairs, and public areas in Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS)-owned buildings; performs routine duties in the movement of supplies, furniture, and equipment.
Qualifications
Required
- Any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to completion of the eighth grade.
- One (1) year of successful experience in public building custodial work.
- Must successfully complete the FCPS Custodial Certification Course prior to or within one (1) year of appointment.
- May be required to work an evening and/or night shift on a regular or rotating basis.
- Knowledge of the methods, materials, and equipment used in custodial work.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Ability to understand, follow, and repeat oral and written instructions in English.
