Custodian
Cohen-Esrey Communities (CEC) is currently seeking a Full Time Custodian to support and maintain Customer Fulfillment initiatives as they relate to the physical upkeep and maintenance needs at Loretto at Creekside located in Live Oak, TX.

Custodian
- Maintaining the positive presentation of building amenities and common areas through continuous effort
- Understanding, maintaining and utilizing personal protective equipment whenever necessary
- Following procedures for the use of power tools and equipment in order to prevent damage and prevent safety hazards to people
- Understanding and adhering to manufacturers’ directions for mixing and using cleaning agents, detergents and acids according to specifications
- Gathering and emptying trash regularly from the offices and common areas of the building/property
- Monitoring, servicing, cleaning and supplying common area restrooms continuously
- Cleaning and maintaining building floors and carpets, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, polishing and/or shampooing them on a regular basis
- Dusting, cleaning and polishing furniture, fixtures, walls, machines and equipment
- Cleaning windows, glass, and mirrors, using appropriate cleaners and materials
- Using snowplows, snow blowers, and snow shovels to remove snow from sidewalks, driveways and parking areas and spreading snow melting chemicals as needed
- Assisting professional exterminators and also spraying insecticides and fumigants to prevent insect and rodent infestation as necessary
- Assisting in the cleaning and preparation of vacant units, including removing trash from vacant apartments (trash outs) prior to make-ready activities
- Evaluating property interior and exterior lighting, both day and night, and correcting or informing the Property Manager or Lead Maintenance Technician of any lighting issues (may require after-hours visit to property)
- Recommending to the Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor any needed supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
Property Support Specialist
- Monitoring building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created
- Assisting the Property Manager or maintenance staff with lock changes and maintaining key/lock integrity and controls
- Notifying the Property Manager of the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
- Assisting in the movement of heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks
- Acting as another set of “eyes” and reporting appropriately any hazardous conditions, malfunctioning equipment and suspicious or criminal activities
- Delivering written communications to residents as requested
Qualifications include:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to bend, stoop, lift, carry, push or pull over 25lbs.
