We have an immediate opening for a Customer Service Lead to join our dynamic team! This position reports to the General Manager.
Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Models and delivers outstanding customer service.
  • Ensure that all materials needed by the customer team are available and in good condition.
  • Serve as the middleman between the organization and the customer service team to ensure smooth communications and settling of grievances.
  • Greet and connect with customers on the shop floor and guide them through our store tour while providing an engaging and interactive store experience.
  • Actively listen to customers and answer their questions by being highly knowledgeable and confident about menu and other store items.
  • Support in the maintenance of a neat and tidy store presentation to ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Meet store operating policies and standards, including providing quality service, cash handling, and store safety and security.
  • Arrives on time, appropriately groomed, dressed, and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
  • Maximizes sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
  • Follows and complies, or ensures compliance, with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
  • Maintains, or ensures maintenance of, a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintains equipment cleanliness, repair, and safety standards.
  • Immediately reports safety hazards.
  • As well as perform any additional tasks assigned by your leadership.
Requirements:
  • Previous retail experience preferred in a food centric environment.
  • Showcase good leadership skills to provide support to team members.
  • High energy, enthusiastic, and displays an affinity for Haymarket products, core values, and company philosophy.
  • Ability to:
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Visually examine products and quality for freshness.
  • Deliver information in a clear and respectable manner to fellow team members, customers, and vendors.
  • Follow directions and procedures, effective time management and organization skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Strong to excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Must have the flexibility to work weekends and with working hours.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Standing/walking 6-8 hours.
  • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
  • Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
  • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
  • Exposure to temperatures: <32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezers), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators), >90 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Ability to work in wet and dry conditions.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
  • Ability to use ladders.
